Tracking water and sanitary projects in Togo

TRACKING water and sanitary PROJECTS IN TOGO

Started in 2016, this project aims at increasing citizens’ participation in the water and sanitation sector, support the promotion of transparency in public procurement and the fight against corruption in this sector and the creation of platform and dynamic cartography of the project sites in this sector.

Activities carried out

4,000 people were sensitized

1,500 home visits were made

30 publics awareness in 30 villages

15 local schools awareness

30 local markets awareness

60 meetings with traditional chiefs in 30 villages

Data collections carried out on the creation and operationalization of management/follow up committees.

60 meetings with village development committee members

60 meeting with neighbourhood development committee members

80% stakeholders were determined to actively participate in the selection of companies which will work on the project, equipment purchase and more demanding for technical control of infrastructures

30 local management committees were created and operational

Local committes collected data on development initiatives
